While he found aspects of the new fairing promising, he stressed that the team needs to analyze the data thoroughly before drawing conclusions. Despite the challenges, Acosta remained optimistic. “We spent the entire day testing aero components, and it was quite okay, to be honest,” he said. However, he acknowledged that the factory’s data analysis will be crucial in validating his observations. “I think some stuff was going on,” he added with a hint of cautious enthusiasm.

The morning’s damp conditions threw a wrench into the testing schedule, limiting the team’s ability to complete their full plan. “There was more to try, but it was quite a mess not being able to ride this morning,” Acosta admitted. Ultimately, they prioritized aerodynamics, with Acosta conducting back-to-back tests between the standard and updated fairings. “After all, it was a good day,” he concluded, though he finished only fifth-fastest, just 0.039 seconds ahead of Maverick Vinales on the second-best KTM.
