A legendary figure in the Denver Broncos' history, Brandon Stokley, has a strong opinion on the team's recent Super Bowl-related setback. He believes that head coach Sean Payton will be haunted by a crucial decision made during the AFC Conference Championship game against the New England Patriots.
Stokley, a two-time Super Bowl champion himself, is convinced that Payton's choice to go for it on a fourth down instead of opting for a field goal was a costly mistake. With the Broncos leading 7-0 in the second quarter, Payton's decision not to take the easy three points left Stokley shaking his head in disbelief.
"Kick the field goal, man!" Stokley exclaimed. "They had the chance to extend their lead, but instead, they left points on the board. It was a simple field goal attempt, and those points could have made all the difference."

He remains optimistic about the team's future, especially with the emergence of Bo Nix, whom he believes is the key to taking the Broncos to the next level.
"He's shown incredible poise and clutch performances in his first two years," Stokley said of Nix. "He's the real deal, and with the right support, he can lead this team to great heights."
However, Stokley warns that the front office needs to provide Nix with more help if they want to see sustained success. He suggests the acquisition of additional receivers and tight ends to bolster the offense and take some of the burden off Nix's shoulders.
"It's time to invest in offense," Stokley emphasized. "Bo Nix deserves a strong supporting cast, and that's what the front office should focus on this offseason."
